Do you want to eat $100-a-plate food served to you by blind people in total darkness? You do! Then you can go to Opaque, which will be opening in San Francisco on June 5. Apparently, being able to see makes food less delicious. That's why Opaque seats you in a pitch-black room and overcharges you for food. Flavor comes alive in the darkness! Flavor!

I think they really need to add an element of sport to this: give the blind servers hits of raw ether. The jarring disconnect between their consciousness and their motor coordination could make for some delightful aural entertainment. Besides, nobody is coming out of that place without getting splattered with food, so why not embrace the madness with disorienting drugs?

I bet they serve you lumps of boogers as escargot, clippings of weeds from their garden as a spring mix salad, cheap wine and Michelina's microwave entrees and charge $78.95 per person.

Just blindfold yourself and wander to the food court at the mall. At least you'll have some good lemonade, a gooey slice of pizza and a Mrs. Fields cookie.

Didnt I see this on an episode of CSI? That guy died, and the blind waiter did it. I for one do not want to die from an ice-pick to the brain.

That said, it sounds like an awesome date idea. Especially if the guy or gal you're dating is ugly. >:)
