Ain't no party like a tea party

Look at us, having a proper tea. Note my raised pinkie.

Saturday (gosh, like a week ago now) I went to a ladies' team with Joy, Krista and Stephanie at the Secret Garden Tea Room in San Francisco. Delightful! Normally, I'm not into hot beverages. But the Victorian Vanilla tea I had was exactly the right balance of flavors and exactly the right temperature. One lump or two? I said that like 90 times because it's fun to say.

I enjoy eating a wide variety of tiny delicious things, which is what our tea party was all about. I am a firm believer in small plates, tapas or whatever you want to call them in your hoity toity language. I call them tiny delicious things. I am not a touchy feely symbolism person. However, I do think two or more people sharing food from a bunch of plates and eating the same thing is good for relationships. Tea friends!

They had this awesome curried egg sandwich and tiny cakes and cream and scones. And! And! I didn't think I could get full off such adorable food, but I did.

What will our next theme be? Something delicious I bet.

You can see more pictures and read more about it on Joy and Stephanie's blogs.

That pinkie indicates to me that you are a woman of class and taste. Well done!

High tea - so very civilized.
