2) Oh, so maybe I am wise student of gender economics rather than just a wuss. From a Washington Post article:
3) I had a dream the other day that I worked in a meat factory owned by Lindsay Lohan. She wouldn't let me wash my hands after I had touched some meat, and then she fired me for not washing my hands after touching meat. Bitch. I wondered if I should blow the whistle on the fact that the meat factory had been passing off ground beef as liver. Because you know everyone loves liver.Their study, which was coauthored by Carnegie Mellon researcher Lei Lai, found that men and women get very different responses when they initiate negotiations. Although it may well be true that women often hurt themselves by not trying to negotiate, this study found that women's reluctance was based on an entirely reasonable and accurate view of how they were likely to be treated if they did. Both men and women were more likely to subtly penalize women who asked for more -- the perception was that women who asked for more were "less nice".
"What we found across all the studies is men were always less willing to work with a woman who had attempted to negotiate than with a woman who did not," Bowles said. "They always preferred to work with a woman who stayed mum. But it made no difference to the men whether a guy had chosen to negotiate or not."
4) I am going camping this weekend!
5) My cat does the darndest things.
Thank you.

My doggie does things too! Darn ones! She rolls over multiple times and then she is very proud of herself. She also snorts when she wants to say "thank you".

Managing a meat-packing facility seems like a perfect assignment for LL Beanpole. If good fortune exists, she'd accidentally end up in a sausage. Unplanned cannibalism is a small price to pay for upping the per capita dignity of America.

If I were a guy I would not wear a shirt. Whenever I see a guy without a shirt, roaming amongst the general public, I think.. "Wow. What a bad ass." I want to be a bad ass too.

On camping... I turned up some checklists and scanned and linked to them here. (This is my personal site, which is only secret in that no one goes there.) Just thought I'd share ;-)
